Landscape Description: The community of Fairfield on the south side of Hebden Bridge is enclosed by small steep fields which lead into Crow Nest Wood. Above the wood, the pasture fields of the upland hamlet of Old Chamber rise up to the edge of Cock Hill Moor. To the east lies the small settlement of Wood Top, a fustian dye works in the late nineteenth century.
